An Tógáil Úr

2 Feabhra 2016

A thuismitheoir/a chaomhnóir,

Cuirfidh conraitheoirí tógála tús leis an obair ar thionscadal caipitil Choláiste Feirste Dé Luain 8 Feabhra.  Cuirifidh infheistíocht £11.9 milliún seo i gcóiríocht scoile, seomraí ranga agus áiseanna spóirt nua san áireamh, go mór le heispéiris oideachasúla ár ndaltaí.Is léir áfach go gcuirfidh a léithéid de mhórthionscadal tógála isteach go mór sa ghearrthréimhse ar rochtain isteach agus gluaiseacht thart ar áitreabh na scoile.  Tá pleanáil déanta ag bainistíocht na scoile chun aon tionchar diúltach ar na daltaí agus a gcuid oideachais a íoslaghdú.Ní féidir an cur isteach ar rochtain feithicle ar an tsuíomh a sheachaint áfach.  Ní bheidh geataí na scoile oscailte ach don trácht riachtanach.  Dá thairbhe seo ní bheidh na tuismitheoirí in ann tiomáint isteach ar shuíomh na scoile le daltaí a fhágáil nó a bhailiú.  Ba chóir do thuismitheoir a bhfuil sainriachtanas ag a bpáiste teagmháil a dhéanamh leis an scoil chun socruithe cuí a phlé.  Lena chois sin má bhíonn coinne ag tuismitheoir sa scoil le linn an lae agus más mian leo tiomáint isteach ar an tsuíomh ba chóir dóibh teagmháil a dhéanamh leis an scoil roimh ré leis an cheist a phlé.Gabhaimid buíochas leat as ucht do chuid comhoibrithe.

Building contractors will begin work on Coláiste Feirste’s long-awaited capital investment project on Monday 8th February.  This £11.9 million investment in school accommodation including new classrooms and sports facilities will add greatly to the educational experiences of our pupils.Inevitably a major building project such as this will cause considerable disruption in the short-term with regard to access to and movement around the school premises.  School management have planned to minimise the effects on pupils and their education.  However we cannot avoid disruption to vehicular access to the site.  The school gates will be closed to all but essential traffic.  Consequently it will not be possible for parents to drive into the school site to drop off and collect pupils.  Any parent whose child has a particular need should contact the school to discuss suitable arrangements.  In addition any parent who has an appointment at the school during the day and who wishes to drive into the school should first contact us to discuss whether this would be possible. We thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Is mise le meas, Garaí Mac Roibeaird
